According to Newton’s universal law of gravitation, 

                   

We have F   M1.M2……1

F   1/d2 ---2

Combining I and 2 we get F    M1 M2/d2

 

F=GM1.M2/D2

                        --------1

            

WHEN DISTANCE IS DOUBLE NEW FORCE  IS

F1 = Gm1.m2/4D2--------2

COMPARE eqn 1 with eqn second

F1= F

4F1=F

New force is 4 time greater than original force
