Two Bikes from Yamaha and Honda launching soon in Nepal

Yamaha and Honda are preparing to launch two new motorcycles in the Nepali market. The motorcycles brought by these two companies belong to different engine segments.

Honda's official distributor Syakar Trading is preparing to bring the first adventure motorcycle produced in India- the NX 200 to Nepal. The NX200, which went public in India two months ago, is a well-known motorcycle in the adventure segment.

Similarly, MAW Enterprises, the official dealer of Yamaha two-wheelers in Nepal, is preparing to bring the FZX model to Nepal. Yamaha unveiled its successful model FZX in India around 4 months ago. Coming up with a retro classic look with modern tech features, the FZX is acquiring a hefty number of sales in India.

Yamaha FZ-X

The new Yamaha FZ-Z adopts a teardrop-shaped black fuel tank alongside a unique circular headlamp and aluminum brackets on both sides.   

More on, the motorcycle gets full LED taillights with conventional turn signal lights. Falling under the FZ-series, the FZ-X seems to inherit some design elements from there. 

 

However, comparing it to FZ, the new FZ-X has broader dimensions- Length (1990mm), Width (780mm), and Height (2020mm). This one has a wheelbase of 1330mm similar to the FZ series.

Powering the Yamaha FZ-X adventure will be a 149cc, air-cooled SOHC engine delivering a power of 12bhp at 7250rom along with 13.3Nm of peak torque at 5500rpm. The bike’s engine is mated with a 5-speed gearbox transmission. It borrows its suspension setup and braking from its sibling, the Yamaha FZ series. This one will also adopt a single-channel ABS system.

Glancing at its exciting feature, the retro-classic Yamaha machine also gets an LCD instrument cluster upfront that displays the details such as tachometer, trip meter, fuel gauge, ABS indicator, odometer, and more. Additionally, it is also infused with a Bluetooth Connectivity feature that connects via smartphone and offers features such as SMS alert, rev meter, battery level indication, oil-check timing, incoming call, parking record, bike locating, and so on.

The bike’s design is based on the Honda CB190X which is already available in the international market. To continue the adventure styling, the bike adopts a longer travel suspension, a taller windshield, and a taller seat height.

The Honda NX 200 derives its engine from the lately launched Hornet 2.0. which implies that it is powered by a 184.5cc 2-valve, air-cooled single-cylinder engine churning out a maximum horsepower of 16.5bhp at 8500rpm alongside a peak torque of 15.5Nm at 6000rpm. Its engine is mated with a 5-speed gearbox transmission. However, Honda has re-tuned its engine to obtain off-road touring capability
