CHEMISTRY IMPORATNT NOTES OF TITRATION

                                    titration

titration

The process in which the concentration of unknown solution is determined with the help of the standard solution by using indicators is called titration .unknown solution is that solution whose strength is not known that is whose strength is not determine Standard solution is that solution whose strength is knows as standard solution contain a knows weight of solute in known volume some terms used in titration are as follows

titration : the solution of knowns concentration which is usually taken in burette is called titranit.

Titrantd or titrate :the solution of the unknowns concentration which is beings titrated and usually taken in conical flask is called titrand or titrate

Types of titrated

Based on the nature of reaction there are different types of the titration

1.acid base titration or neutralization reaction

2.redox reaction

3. iodimetric and iodometric titration

4. Precipitation reaction

5.complexometric titration

1.acid and base

Those titration in which the concentraction of anacidis determined by nutrilization it completely with standard alakali solution in the presence of indacitors

2. redox reaction

The stregent of an oxidizings agents is determine by ht standard solution of reducing agemts

Or vice versa are called redox  titration

3.iodometric and iodometry

Those titration in which standard iodoine solution is used for titration are called iodoimetrics

And which liberated iodoine from Kl by means of some chemicals reaction is titrated against hypo solution are called iodometrics titration

4.precipitation titrations

Those titrations in which a precipitateds is formed as a results  of reaction beteween  the reactings  solution are called precipitation titration

5.complexometric titration

It is the types of titration in which formation of soluble complex metals ions and complexings agents takes places
